New parents usually put a lot of thought, time, and effort into the layout and design of a baby’s room. Often times people throw prenatal parties to do the planning, painting, and decoration. The process usually repeats as children go from diapers and cribs to race-car beds and pink castle canopies. Once kids grow up and move on to have places of their own, they leave their childhood ones behind. While sentimentality may lead us to try and keep these spaces frozen in time, another way to view them is as an encore act giving way to something new.

Likewise the rooms can be redesigned completely into any number of hobby spaces, office or sewing room.
The same can be said of the bathroom which presents itself as a willing candidate for expansion. A half-bath can be reconfigured in a remodel to include a shower and closet, depending on the extent of the remodel. Options abound and your children get the enjoyment of seeing their families continue using and enjoying these new spaces as much as they did with the old ones.
